TVI Electronics offers monochrome character LCD modules in a wide variety of dot pixel formats and color/background combinations. These Character LCD modules are ideal for industrial and consumer applications requiring a clear alpha-numeric display for displaying text and/or symbols. TVI Electronics Character displays feature high contrast, wide operating temperature ranges, low power consumption, parallel or I2C interfaces, and more.

Character modules display formats are available from 8x1 through 40x4. These LCD modules are available in reflective (no backlight),  transmissive, or transflective types (with LED backlight). The LED backlights are available in various colors including yellow/green and white. Operating temperatures range from standard (0 to +50^oC) to wide (-20 to +70^oC). Interfaces include standard 4-bit/8-bit Parallel, but some displays come with only I2C or I2C, Serial interfaces. The majority of character LCD controllers are HD44780, KS0066, or SPLC780C equivalent and include on board character sets, English/Japanese being the standard. We offer 5V supply voltage as standard, but 3.0, 3.3 and 3.5 Volts types are also available for low power options. There is also a variety of connections include FPC and Pin Header, in both SIL (single in line) and DIL (dual in line) formats, to suit customer requirements.
